Overview of today's email:
- Last chance to sign up for the Balanced Review of Leaky Gut course (at this price and with the "extras")
- Answer to a quiz question from the last email newsletter
I am not an "expert" on leaky gut, I'm just a curious clinician who wanted to know more.
And I love to over-deliver!
Here's why I'm so excited about this first release of the Leaky Gut and Metabolic Endotoxemia course:
- I developed a 2 week patient "protocol" from my research, that have started to implement it with my tough patient cases (with good feedback!)
- I am including a "Cliff Notes" (I may be showing my age by using this term!) PDF handout for quick reference
- For this first launch, I'm offering the course at a discounted price, including a live office hours/Q&A (September 1st) as well as a surprise bonus!
It's a deep review into a topic that doesn't get a lot of exposure, but appears to be a key underlying mechanism behind a lot of the chronic conditions and symptoms we see with our patients.
This is the first course I've ever launched, and this topic mattered enough to me to make it happen. I hope you'll be there.

Note, if you are already a member of the Collective, you get access to this and all other courses.
Registration at this price ($197) closes August 14th. Price goes up to $297 after September 1st.
P.S. It is so scary to promote something that I’m selling, when I give away so much for free. Thank you for supporting me and staying with me!
Quiz Answer: What was the first treatment used for leaky gut?
A lot of the original leaky gut research can be accredited to Dr. Ingvar Bjarnason, who built his career studying how gut conditions can be measured and damaged without invasive tests.
Through his research, Bjarnason gave researchers a credible, quantifiable way to say "this person's gut is leaky" — and then used that same tool to show that an elemental diet could measurably tighten the barrier back up...at least in Crohn's patients.
A lot of other research has been done on how the elemental diet can help other various conditions, which show pretty consistent improvement. The reason?
- An elemental diet removes antigenic trigger proteins
- An elemental diet is very low in fat and has free amino acids (like glutamine) which help support gut barrier repair
- An elemental diet minimizes the digestive workload on an already-compromised gut which lets the epithelial barrier heal (which shows up as improved permeability testing and symptom relief)
Have you considered using the elemental diet in patients who DON'T have SIBO?
